Approximately 27 million people live in slavery today. Did you know that about 18-20,000 people are brought into the U.S. each year through Human Trafficking? Human trafficking is the recruitment, transportation or harboring of people for the purposes of slavery, debt bondage, forced labor, sexual exploitation and involuntary servitude. Professor Boaz Johnson will talk about his experiences and knowledge of this pressing issue. Find out how you can get involved in preventing this injustice.

FORUM: ED GILBREATH: Reconciliation Blues: A Black Evangelical's Inside View of White Christianity

Ed Gilbreath gives a fresh and insightful exploration of the current state of race relations in the church. In his book Reconciliation Blues he shares his experience as a black evangelical and his journey of faith and discovery from one who has gone to school, work and worshipped in predominately white evangelical settings for much of his life. In addition to his own story, he interviewed dozens of other black evangelicals who have had similar experiences. Being the "first" or "only" black can be a wild and sometimes lonely adventure.

FORUM: EDDIE GLAUDE, JR. : Faith and Racism

Dr. Eddie Glaude has built a reputation as a gifted scholar and teacher. A founding member and Senior Fellow of the Jamestown Project, he's also an associate professor at Princeton University, with research interests that include African American religious history and its place in American public life. Glaude was mentored by Dr. Cornel West as a Princeton grad student and has written/edited several books. In a Shade of Blue: Pragmatism and the Politics of Black America is his latest.
