CHAPEL
Students, faculty and staff are invited once a week to attend these campus worship services that include music, prayer and teaching. The campus pastor, members of the community and speakers from across the country engage our hearts and minds with the truth of Scripture. A variety of worship styles and creative learning opportunities make each service something unique.
Chapel takes place on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 in Anderson Chapel.
TEAM: Ideally, the team will consist of no more than ten (10) students, each who reflect and are sensitive to the racial-ethnic and Christian confessional diversity of North Park University. This team will work in close relationship with the Campus Pastor, and provide support for the development and execution of the weekly chapel services. These student volunteers will meet regularly to discuss, prepare, and help design the components and themes for Wednesday chapel times. Service on this committee will provide students a first hand opportunity to shape the "flavor" and flow of the chapel times. Students will be encouraged to share their gifts, talents and creativity. Students will also assist with leadership in every aspect of the service, including, but not limited to: prayer, Scripture reading, gathering and reading of announcements, selection of guest preachers, and identification of peer participants.
TIME COMMITMENT:
Participation on this team is not designed to be a burden on its members. Hopefully it will be a delight. As such, the members of this planning team will need to be available for approximately 5-6 hours per week. This includes chapel attendance, preparation and planning, and fellowship times. A student leads this team; and meets with the Campus Pastor weekly.
Take me to the application.
